This is my first year attending New York Fashion week and I am beyond excited. We touched down in NYC, changed, and headed straight for pizza before our busy first day. For day one of NYFW I wanted to keep my outfit chic but still comfortable. The weather here is absolutely perfect--I actually got chilly running around today and popped on my leather jacket!
When I saw these (faux) leather shorts at Express I knew I needed them for NYFW. They are perfect to transition into fall and look super cute with boots. I love leather shorts paired with tights in the winter, so I will definitely be wearing them layered as well. For this early fall look, I paired them with a luxe cross-front blouse that's under $50 at Express, heeled slouch booties, and my favorite black fedora. My inspiration for this outfit taxi cab chic--I mean what's more "New York" than a yellow cab?!? haha! But seriously, this might be my new favorite color for fall.
