When I think of fall the first thing that comes to mind is "red"! Over the weekend we took a trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Hiking Laurel Falls was top on our list. I didn't pack "hiking" shoes and knew whatever I wore would likely get wet. With it raining in Florida almost every day, I was already on the hunt for a pair of rain boots--this gave me the perfect excuse to finally get them. Hunter's were top on my list. Luckily, I found a local shoe store that carried them, had my size, and the exact color (military red) I was looking for--clearly it was meant to be!
Red is such a classic color and can be worn year round. I am all about versatility and won't buy something without knowing at least 3 different ways or places to wear it. The first thing that came to mind with these boots is obviously a cozy fall look--I wore them basically our entire Tennessee trip. I paired them with this ivory cable knit dolman sweater, floppy hat, and my favorite distressed jeans (on sale over 50% off). They add the perfect pop of color to any outfit! They'd be perfect for halloween (think Minnie Mouse), Christmas (wear them with boot socks on cold days), Valentine's day, & 4th Of July just to name a few major holidays.
Stay tuned for Part 3 of the Ten Take On Fall series!
